CalderPhysio provides treatment to private, NHS and self-referred patients, and works closely with other healthcare professionals including NHS and private consultants.
We are recognised by all the major insurance companies and various hospital fund schemes. If this is your method of referral, we recommend that you contact your insurance company before your first visit, in order to clarify the extent of your policy cover.
Some health insurance companies may require a GP referral in order to pay for treatment. If Physiotherapy is a part of your policy, then CalderPhysio would bill the insurance company direct.
Please note that GP referrals are not required for self-funded treatments.
You can email, or call us on 01484 711123, to book your appointment.
Your first visit
Your first appointment with CalderPhysio will involve a comprehensive assessment to determine the cause of the complaint.
This is a very important process to carry out, as we need to understand your body and the stresses and strains that it is put through.
Having achieved a thorough understanding of the complaint, we will then formulate a treatment plan, taking into account your lifestyle, health and any leisure pursuits undertaken.
We will always offer you the best advice for self-help and develop a suitable exercise programme to be carried out between your treatment sessions. The number of treatment sessions will vary according to the diagnosis and the length of time with the complaint.
The hour-long initial session means that we always have the time to answer any questions you have about your condition and the treatment that you are to receive.
